Welcome to Star Carr Lakes. We offer great fishing across three unique lakes. While our fishing is popular, we also have comfortable lakeside accommodation. It’s the best way to enjoy both your fishing and a relaxing break with us.

Whether you’re after big carp, mixed coarse fish, or the challenge of a wilder water, we have something for you. Our well-maintained pegs and diverse fish stocks ensure a rewarding day out for anglers of all abilities.

How to fish at Star Carr Lakes
To fish at Star Carr Lakes you must either stay at one of our wonderful lodges or be a member of one of our fishing syndicates. Becoming an exclusive member of our syndicate gives you year round access to the lakes. Numbers to the syndicates are limited.
Syndicate membership will run from July 1st until June 30th inclusive.

Mirror Pool
Pike fishing only permit (from Oct 1st until March 31st inclusive.)To preserve the environment and maintain healthy fish stocks, each exclusive syndicate is limited to 15 members.
The Pike syndicate is limited to just 10 members.

Syndicate Member Responsibilities
Members of the syndicates are expected to contribute to the upkeep of the lakes. Each syndicate member will be required to attend four working parties per syndicate season to assist with on-site maintenance tasks. Working hours will be from 7:30 AM to midday, and a free lunch will be provided for all attendees. The dates and times of the work parties will be arranged as needed throughout the season.
Please be aware that any serious breaches of the rules will result in the cancellation of your syndicate membership without a refund. These rules exist to protect both our fish stocks and the fishery itself. We hope all members will understand and respect this policy.
Guest Passes
Each syndicate member will be allocated three guest passes per syndicate season. The day ticket price for visitors is £10 for the Pit and Clay Pool, and £15 per day for the Mirror Pool (day fishing only; night sessions are not permitted).
The fishery management reserves the right to refuse guest bookings if there is already a high number of syndicate members using the available pegs.

Site opening hours: 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM
Note: Overnight fishing is allowed only for Mirror Pool Syndicate members. Overnight anglers must be on-site before 9:30 PM.
No access to the site is permitted between 9:30 PM and 7:00 AM.
How to Book Your Fishing Session
Pre-booking is essential for all lakes. Syndiciate members must book to access the lakes.

Book your slot via text message on 07494 706627. Your booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation message from us. You will be allocated a peg upon arrival at the site.
