The Main Lodge at Star Carr Lakes offers spacious lakeside accommodation for up to six guests, making it the perfect base for a relaxing fishing break in East Yorkshire. With beautiful views across the lakes and countryside, you can enjoy peaceful surroundings with direct access to the water just moments from your door.
Accommodation: The Main Lodge
Escape to our large, well-appointed wooden lodge set beside the lakes. The property features a bright and spacious kitchen-diner, fully equipped with everything you need, including a large fridge freezer, electric oven, hob, dishwasher, and all the cookware required to prepare anything from a quick meal to a full three-course dinner. The dining area enjoys lovely views across the lakes and opens out onto a private garden with both lawned and paved areas, perfect for outdoor dining.
The comfortable lounge provides a relaxing space to unwind, with French doors leading onto a raised decked area overlooking the lakes – an ideal spot for your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
The lodge includes three flexible bedrooms, which can be arranged as king-size beds or twins upon request. Each bedroom benefits from its own en-suite shower room and offers views across the surrounding farm fields or allotment.
Parking is available to the side of the lodge for up to four cars. Bedding, towels, tea towels, and basic essentials such as condiments, tea, coffee, and sugar are all included. Guests also have access to a washing machine during their stay.

Set in beautiful surroundings and plenty of lakes to fish at. Immaculately kept and loads of fish in the ponds. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend and will definitely go again.
I visited Star Carr lake with my 11 year old son. I absolutely love it here. It’s peaceful, clean and wonderful facilities particularly the clean toilets. The owner is very friendly and helpful. A must visit for all keen fishermen/women.
Our Fishing at Star Carr Lakes
Our three distinct lakes cater to all anglers: Mirror Pool (carp), The Pit (mixed coarse), and the Clay Pool (natural coarse). As a Main Lodge guest, you benefit from full access to all three lakes and exclusive use on Mondays and Tuesdays.
